The Global Emerging Leadership Program makes waves in India with the Global Marketplace for Career and Skill Development Program.
GELP has made a splash in India with their recent initiative, the Global Marketplace for Career and Skill Development. The event, held across multiple cities in India, was a resounding success, with an impressive 22,000+ students and young professionals participating in the 18-day long program.
The GELP Global Delegation, which consisted of 22 speakers from around the world, visited 12 top-ranking post-secondary institutions and organizations in 9 cities throughout India. The delegation included Indigenous Elders, Indigenous Knowledge Keepers, Academic Researchers, Academic Professionals, and Social Innovators, all of whom brought their unique perspectives and expertise to the table.
In addition to the in-person programming, the Global Marketplace for Career and Skill Development also had a strong digital presence, with 250,000+ impressions on social media platforms and 163,000+ reached through social posts during the event. Furthermore, the event received extensive coverage in local newspapers, with 8.73 million+ reached through 15 news articles and News 7 Tamil television feature.
One of the event's accomplishments was the awarding of 10,000+ digital badges to successful participants across India, recognizing their achievement and commitment to career and skill development.
The Global Marketplace for Career and Skill Development also featured 12 intercultural panel sessions, with regional and international representatives sharing their perspectives. Indigenous communities from both Canada and India were featured, highlighting the importance of cross-cultural exchange and understanding.
Through this initiative, GELP has established itself as a trusted Canadian/North American brand in India, providing a valuable opportunity for students, young professionals, and recent graduates to explore new cultures and experiences. The success of the Global Marketplace for Career and Skill Development has also cemented GELP's position as a leader in the field of higher education and skill academy.
