Creating global citizens who are equipped with the skills and knowledge to navigate and thrive in an increasingly interconnected and rapidly changing world.
In today's rapidly changing world, it is more important than ever for individuals to think globally and act locally. At Global Emerging Leadership Programs (GELP), we believe that creating global citizens is a crucial part of achieving this goal. Through our programs, we strive to provide students with the skills, knowledge, and experiences they need to understand and navigate the globalized world. Our Global Citizenship Leaders Study Abroad program is a prime example of how we aim to achieve this goal. By participating in this program, students can immerse themselves in a new culture, learn about different perspectives and ways of life, and develop a range of valuable skills that will benefit them in their future careers and personal lives.
By promoting global citizenship, we hope to help students become more open-minded, culturally aware, and responsible global citizens who are prepared to make a positive impact in their local communities and beyond.
Each cohort of students will participate in a 2 week leadership program in British Columbia, Canada. This will be followed by a 4-week capstone project (optional). Students will live on university campuses and will participate in real life skill exchanges through the following curriculum activities:
Each Global Citizenship Study Abroad Program is customized to the institution, their academic program, identified outcomes and opportunity to course map content in a way that the students can receive academic credit for their participation.
GELP will be selecting up to 5 schools to participate in a two-week study abroad program where students will experience the student life in Canada by living at three university campuses in British Columbia Canada. The registration fees will cover all accommodations, meals, activities, workshops, presenters, and local transportation within Canada.
Join GELP at our signature leadership program held in one of North America's most desired destinations.
