The Global Virtual Summit allowed delegates to engage with leaders around the globe in an interactive experiential online environment.
The 2022 Global Summit for Career and Skill Development had 1500+ delegates participating around the world across 15 countries in 4 different continents. Over 3000+ reflections were submitted by participants as a result of their participation in the Summit.
Delegates were officially welcomed by Mobina S. B. Jaffer, QC. She is a Canadian Senator representing British Columbia and the first South Asian woman appointed to the upper house of parliament.
Post-secondary Presidents, Vice Chancellors and Executives from around the world discussed "What is new leadership and how does new leadership succeed in the digital age?" and "What are the new skills and careers emerging within their respective local economies?"
Disruptive technologies impact and change the ways in which we operate our ways of working and being. This workshop took a deep dive on new tech and its influence on the future of work. This session highlighted new trends of disruptive technologies in the workspace and how delegates can embrace change and conquer these challenges.
This fireside chat helped to equip delegates with information and tools to understand the meaning of work and how to find purpose in an overstimulated world. Understanding the meaning of work and the importance of purpose is critical to personal and professional success.
In this workshop, delegates had the opportunity to engage in conversations around intersectional leadership involving gender, culture, ability, and privilege. Stories were shared about how leaders built resiliency in helping them to navigate through adversity and life circumstances.
Delegates joined Charlene Bearhead to conclude the summit festivities by demonstrating the conference theme, "Build your Story, Share your Experience". Charlene highlighted relevant topics that helped us to understand this new dimension of the skills economy.
Delegates were guided through a good intentions meditation with instructor Andre Arsenault. This meditation was focused on creating a safe and welcoming learning environment.
The 2022 Global Summit was opened by Elder Wilson, who set the intention of this global event and provided us with a traditional welcome from Canada.
